In memorium

We are sorely missing one of our most core members of the team.  Dan Schoenfeld passed away unexpectedly in his sleep this week from an undetected aortic blockage and heart enlargement.  He has been a foundational contributor – holding our vision with great candor and commitment, whilst also providing every detail of technical, strategic as well as in-the-trenches hard work.

We, and the scientific and engineering world, have lost a true friend and passionate champion and compatriot.

I hope we are able to carry on your torch in a manner you would be delighted by.

Fondest Memories-

Kennan and the ReImagine Science team

Who are we? Why are we different? Why is this work important?

ReImagine Science was founded by scientists and those passionate about science to nurture positive change from within our own community. We envision a science culture where people and ideas flourish in workplaces that are thriving, in a culture of contribution and collaboration. We believe this will further open the doors for fruitful communication and interactions with the larger society to which we belong.

Our mission is to be the touchstone for a fundamental change in the way we work together to ‘do’ science. In support of our mission, we organize events that bring together scientists, post-docs and the general public in a creative and open environment, where information can be shared, connections made, and opportunities born.
